If my proteins arrive still frozen, how do I thaw them?

If you’re not ready to cook the proteins, it’s best practice to freeze them until you’re ready to enjoy them. If your proteins are still slightly frozen and you’re ready to cook, thaw the protein in a sealed container (like the zip-top plastic bags they’re delivered in) in a cold water bath. Don’t be tempted to use hot water; it could actually cook the outside of the protein. (Reminder: Only proteins that are naturally thawed should be re-frozen.)
